This year we decided to have a fun time at the HOGLE ZOO with family. We actually ended up buying a year pass - so we hope to make it down there for more trips in the next year! It is such a great zoo...and our resident family photographer, Maddy Powell, came with us to help out...she took 100% of all of these great photos!
Me and Maddy took 10 kids - so it was quite a bit of work - but lots of fun. We especially always love the great bird show. Something majestic about those wonderful creatures swooping over your head like that! ;)

And, as one can surmise without too much deduction - Maddy LOVES to take pictures of baby Emerson! He is probably something of a challenge to be conquered for a photographer - that ever elusive SMILE - where can one chubby 18 month old hide a smile at?

Every time I get on your blog, I miss you like crazy! Your kids are getting so grown up. Miles and Emerson are SO DANG CUTE! Love those last shots of Emerson's scrunched up nose! Hope all is going well for you - you look absolutely beautiful!
